Friday at sea was about like Thursday at sea and Wednesday at sea, relaxing and enough movement of the ship to know that you are in the middle of the Atlantic. Yesterday we saw an unusual site, in the middle of the Atlantic approximately 1500 miles from Ft. Lauderdale and Gibraltar, a red sail boat. Not a very large one either. They had to be real sailors or nuts. We had moderate seas, 5 to 7 foot swells. They just sailed their way and we sailed ours. Some people have reported seeing whales, but we have not seen anything except the sailboat since leaving Bermuda.
Wednesday night we heard a couple of good comedians. Then Thursday night we went to the crew show in the theater. They were surprisingly very good. One of the waiters from the Crown Grill should be singing for a living not waiting tables. She was from the Philippines as were two of the men singers, and one man was from Indonesia.
Friday night was formal night and so we got gussied up again. The food has been so so. As long as we stick with a fish dish it has been OK. Going with beef or lamb has not been good. One of our table mates has become sick after the lamb and once after the beef. We missed both meals by eating in another restaurant with friends one night and passing on supper another.
